In-Person – Instructor and Qualifiers are together “live”. Please note: “hybrid” courses – where an Instructor is presenting to a “live” class and simultaneously on-line are NOT approved by NCLBGC.
Synchronous Distance Learning – Instructor and Qualifiers are on-line together (not pre-recorded). Streamline uses the Zoom platform. NCLBGC requires a Proctor for every 50 Qualifiers to monitor attendance, and provide other support functions.
E-learning – Pre-recorded courses (webinars) meeting the following guidelines:
Timed modules – (50 minutes – not allowing “fast forwarding”).
“Knowledge Check” – at least 5 questions during each 50-minute module.
You don’t have to do anything – it’s all up to the CE provider – like Streamline, LLC.
Within 7 days, NCLBGC requires providers to upload class rosters which include the qualifier number and name, and pay the Board a fee for each attendee.
Streamline, LLC (or other CE provider) is also responsible for sending each attendee a certificate of completion so each certificate will have a unique design. The Board does not issue the certificate so it will not have the Board’s official seal.
You, the qualifier, are required to keep this certificate for 4 years in case of a Board audit of CE hours.
The 8-hour course is a marketing gimmick used by some providers. Streamline GC offers all 8-hours to renew your licenses.
No, you need your qualifier number. Your license number is NOT your qualifier number!
Not to jump the gun on content in the 2 hour Mandatory Course but:
A qualifier per NCLBGC is:
a responsible managing employee, owner, officer, or member of an LLC or partnership who successfully completes the examination required for licensing. . . .
Qualifiers are not licensees but are the holders of a qualifying credential that is required for licensure.
